Jejak Johor is an application developed by Jawatankuasa Khas Keselamatan Negeri Johor with Iskandar Regional Development Authority and United Nations Development Programme, and University Technology Malaysia as the technology partner. It is designed as part of Johor State’s initiative to ensure compliance with the Conditional Movement Control Order and the New Normal lifestyle.
This application uses the Bluetooth technology on the user’s phone to detect other nearby users and save the contact history which can only be retrieved by authorized personnel as needed. The application assists in bridging the needs of the new norm whilst supporting the local business community in a hassle-free and efficient system. It will be used to check-into venues such as retail outlets, restaurants, workplaces and other allowed premises by bringing the user’s device within 1 meter of the designated outlet’s device with a similar application installed. This process is hassle-free, efficient and avoids potential leakage of personal data, as we continue to comply with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) set by the Government.
